We're almost a year out from Phil's surgery to remove a tumor from his upper right lung and seven months out from his last chemo treatment.
It's been a long haul on the road to recovery and I'm thankful, he's turned a corner finally. We had a Cat Scan on April 2nd and are waiting for the results. You never really think it's going to be you getting bad news, but in hind site, the way you live your life, brings consequences you didn't want or bargain for. I'm glad we've gotten this far and especially glad his hair is growing... Were talking about a man, that is vainer than any woman I know, when it comes to hair...... Please grow hair....just sayin
I keep hearing things like "freshly born buzzard" or "Six Flags Guy" he really misses his hair. He even took a brush on a fishing trip with our son-in-law Guille. He mentioned to my daughter that even though the brush fell to the floor and got some fish guts on it, Phil still brushed his hair..... What's a little fish guts in the grand scheme of things!
I love my husband and am thankful, I've had another year and look forward to many more to come. This week to celebrate getting thru everything, we're going on a cruise! Woooa Whooa! Cant wait. Looking forward to a week long of rest and relaxation!!!! '' More to come when we get back...
